The race for Gold Open Access publishing has made it difficult for researchers from Middle to Low Income Countries to publish in a good journal. Almost all publishers of repute are shifting to Gold OA with APCs ranging from few hundred to thousands of dollars.

Very few journals accepting articles under Hybrid model or Subscription based model without APCs.
