Most magazines ask authors to recommend three or five reviewers themselves. Of course, some unknown magazines will force the author to recommend five reviewers, otherwise the submission can't proceed to the next step. We can recommend five reviewers, and at the same time, we can choose to refuse some people to participate in the review of the article, mainly to prevent people with conflicts of interest from reviewing the manuscript objectively. Of course, even if you recommend five reviewers, the magazine may not completely follow your advice, and they may also send them to other reviewers for review. Of course, there is a high probability that you will choose the reviewers you recommend, at least one or two. Some magazines will also suggest that the reviewers are not from their own region or country.
