I am Dr. Norberto Chavez Tapia, a dedicated specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology with an enriching postdoctoral experience in Translational Hepatology at the Fondazione Italiana Fegato, Italy. I am currently the head of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at Médica Sur Hospital and also serve as the Director of the Department of Translational Research and President of the Ethics Committee at Médica Sur Clinic Foundation.

In addition to my clinical and administrative roles, I am pursuing a Master's in Creative Writing at the Universidad de Salamanca, which complements my extensive background in Biological and Health Sciences with a Ph.D. from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana.

As a National Researcher Level 2 recognized by the National System of Researchers of CONAHCYT, I have authored over 190 articles in high-impact journals and currently hold the position of Editor-in-Chief at the Annals of Hepatology. I am deeply committed to the advancement of medical science through teaching and mentorship, serving as a tutor for master's and doctoral programs, an adjunct professor in gastroenterology, and an associate professor of internal medicine specialty.
